Such a feature of selectivity can be considered as a mode of organization. Two modes of different natures, namely, mechanical or electric motions, can be created within the device.

It is important to emphasize that this geometrical ambiguity affects most chiral molecules, with the very limited exception of four-nucleus molecules where all four nuclei are different! The use of additional criteria provide some practical solution in most cases; notably, the energy barriers occurring along most deformation paths provides a useful tool for a homochirality classification, even if this classification cannot be extended for all possible nuclear arrangements using a satisfactory geometrical criterion.
